League One continues to be one of the most competitive divisions on the planet as the race to the Championship heats up.

Portsmouth have made a flying start to the season and are unbeaten after 16 games, although John Mourinho's side have a knack of drawing games, which means Oxford United and Bolton Wanderers are keeping pace at the top of the table.

Blackpool, Reading and Wigan Athletic were relegated from the Championship last season and they find themselves having drastically different campaigns. The Tangerines are among the play-off contenders, the Latics have escaped the relegation zone after being docked points, while the Royals are marooned at the bottom due to their own points deduction and terrible results.

League One also welcomed Carlisle United, Leyton Orient, Northampton Town and Stevenage Borough to the party after the four teams earned promotion from the division below last term. Stevenage are doing the best out of their ex-League Two rivals, with Steve Evans' side in fifth.

Sky Sports hold the rights to show live coverage of League One and the broadcaster has already revealed plans for the season.

We'll keep this page updated throughout the summer and over the course of the 2023/24 campaign as the race to reach the Championship unfolds.
